Nutrition Consultation
Know whether or not your diet and your late-night trips to the kitchen are affecting your reproductive health. Your relationship with food will be vital in keeping your fertility in check. Work with IVF Matters nutritionists Jane Aherne and Julia Young to optimise your diet before trying to conceive.
Jane Aherne is an AfN Registered Nutritionist who specialises in devising nutrition plans for fertility and reproductive conditions, weight management, chronic inflammation, gastrointestinal issues, and metabolic health. Jane acquired an MSc in Nutrition from the University of Westminster, London. She has helped many women with reproductive conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis. Correcting sex hormone imbalances has become one of Jane’s areas of expertise. Jane takes a holistic approach when working with clients. She focuses on all aspects of their lifestyle to determine the cause of the problem and uses evidence-based strategies to help rectify it.
Julia Young is a Registered Nutritional Therapist specialising in fertility. She helps couples struggling to conceive to realise their dream of having a family. Julia offers personalised nutrition and lifestyle support and believes in getting to the root cause of people’s fertility issues. Having gone through fertility struggles herself, Julia is passionate about supporting couples and women with their fertility issues. Julia has a special interest in supporting preconception care, IVF preparation, amenorrhea, PCOS, endometriosis and secondary infertility.
Each consultation is centred around you and will be a safe space where you can share eating problems that may be costing you your reproductive health. There is growing evidence that nutritional habits may significantly affect both male and female fertility. A well-balanced diet plays an essential role in preventing subfertility in both sexes. Our nutritionists, Jane and Julia, will help you optimise your intake so that you are ready for pregnancy. You are welcome to use our service even if you have treatment at another centre.
FAQs
IVF Matters is a unique service that allows you to receive private fertility care from the comfort of your own home with some of the UK’s leading fertility consultants. Once you book your consultation you will be notified of your finalised appointment time via email and we will be in touch using your preferred contact method.
The service offers you exactly the same level of care, knowledge and attention that you would receive by visiting a physical clinic, but at an affordable cost. Whether you’re having a new consultation at the start of your fertility journey or you are returning to continue, you can expect highly personalised service.
You do not need to bring anything for your appointment with our specialist. If you are in a relationship, you can ask your partner to attend with you if you wish.
After the initial appointment, you may need further interventions relevant to you as we try to set your fertility journey on the right course.
IVF Matters offer the complete fertility journey in surroundings that you feel comfortable in. You will be able to receive the attentive care and advice from a range of private fertility consultants at a cost-effective price. As well as our video consultations, you’ll also have the opportunity to receive a range of ultrasound scans and laboratory tests based on your needs at one of our many partner clinics across the country.
Our consultants will get to know you and offer you the best care possible as you try to start your family. IVF Matters has dealt with patients at all stages of trying for a baby and has many years of experience.
You may have just started trying for a baby or have some initial concerns that were raised in the past that you would like addressed. Other patients may have unfortunately had a previously failed pregnancy and are seeking assurances as they try for a baby again. Or, it might be that you've just finished an unsuccessful fertility treatment and you would like a second opinion. We can also help women by discussing the process involved in egg freezing.
IVF Matters is the 1st fertility service in the UK to offer interest-free payment plans for diagnostic tests. We offer 2 payment plans - Splitit and Humm.

The remaining balance will be held on the credit card until the final payment is made.
Humm Humm lets you spread the total cost over 12 monthly payments. The first payment equal to 1/12 of the purchase price occurs once your order is completed.
