You can book a fertility consultation at IVF Matters at any stage on your IVF journey. You will speak with Dr Irfana Koita, the lead IVF consultant, either in clinic, via a video call or over the phone. She’ll discuss the full range of issues that may be preventing you from getting pregnant and coordinate your IVF journey.
Whatever stage you are at with trying for a baby, your consultant can offer you trusted and meaningful advice. You may have just begun trying for a baby and are looking to address some concerns that you’ve had for a while or it could be a more specific issue that you are wishing to address such as a previous miscarriage.
If you are receiving IVF treatment elsewhere our fertility consultations can also provide you with a valuable second opinion.

What to expect during my fertility consultation
IVF Matters is a unique service that allows you to receive private IVF treatment from the comfort of your own home with some of the UK’s leading fertility consultants. Once you book your consultation you will be notified of your finalised appointment time via email and we will be in touch using your preferred contact method.
The service offers you exactly the same level of care, knowledge and attention that you would receive by visiting a physical clinic, but at an affordable cost. Whether you’re having your initial consultation at the start of your IVF journey or you are returning to continue, you can expect a highly personal service.
What will be covered during my initial fertility consultation?
The consultant will aim to understand your journey so far. This will include asking a range of questions covering a range of topics, including your medical history and analysing your previous investigations. Subsequently, tests may be recommended to confirm the diagnosis. If you have already done the necessary tests, a discussion about treatment options will be carried out.
What do I need for my consultation?
If this is your first appointment with a fertility specialist then you will not be expected to have any reports. However, if you have done some tests and have a copy of the results, you may send it to us via email – firstname.lastname@example.org If you do not have a copy of your results, you may proceed with the consultation with the aim to send the reports to us following the appointment.
What happens following my initial IVF consultation?
After the initial appointment, you may be asked to perform any tests that are relevant to you as we try to set your fertility journey on the right course. Alternatively, you may be told about your treatment options. Either way, you will have a FREE follow up consultation to firm up the plan. The follow-up consultation will be of 30 minutes duration with your fertility consultant.

Is IVF Matters right for me?
Our fertility consultants will get to know you and offer you the best care possible as you try to start your family. IVF Matters has dealt with patients at all stages of trying for a baby.
You may have just started trying for a baby or have some initial concerns that were raised in the past that you would like addressed. Other patients may have unfortunately had a previously failed pregnancy and are seeking assurances as they try for a baby again. Or, it might be that you’ve just finished an unsuccessful fertility treatment and you would like a second opinion. We can also help single women by discussing the process involved in egg freezing.
